WELCOME
LEVELDATE (like an UPdate, but with no actionable info). Here's the plan: we gather at Saturday Cycles at noon on Saturday 04APR2026. An 'enduro' style event where we'll roll out together for a no-drop ride mostly winding along 9th South, behind the zoo, and up to the mouth of Emigration Canyon before a good ol' fashioned LIT race. IYKYK. Drink, lap, drink, lap, etc. Light pale malted barley based beverages are the traditional LIT fuel, but there will be alternative fuels available if your motor doesn't burn barley.
After the winner is crowned and any other points are doled out, we'll ride out together, hopefully along Bonneville Shoreline Trail, conditions permitting, around to the northwest side of town for a good ol' fashioned 24MOTOR Special Edition race, IYKYK. Non-competitive laps, hanging out, trading stories and maybe bikes, when the music stops, the first one across the line wins.
After the winner is crowned and any other points are doled out, we'll ride together, mostly long the Jordan River Parkway, then over to Saltfire Brewing. More points may be doled out.
If you're planning to go to @SSCXWC26bham (the SingleSpeed Cyclocross World Championships, in Birmingham, WA) this fall, you should probably attend this event. If you don't know anything about SSCXWC, you should probably attend this event.
Any bike is welcome, but to qualify for any of the potentially doled point you'll need to be on a singlespeed. 33c tires will be perfect... meaning you'll likely wish you had fatter tires, and that's what we're going for. Probably done before dark but you should always have lights, and a towel. Be self-sufficient, but we're all in this together.
Anything I just said is subject to change. Hopefully more details forthcoming. Keep an eye out here, or at the @24_MOTOR Instagram.
STD- 04APR2024. Some sort of SingleSpeedCycloXross event related to @SSCXWC26BHAM (find them on the Insta). Probably from noon (assuming you're awake) to midnight (assuming you're alive). A LIT and a 24MOTORSpecEd. Details forthcoming... not that you need details.
Anyone familiar with the SSCXWC knows that the Feats Of Strength qualifying day is the real highlight of the weekend. A ride around the city playing bicycle games. The Bellingham, WA crew, who are hosting the World Championships this fall, wants to get everyone in on the fun. SLC is hosting it's own little FUSS day! Feats Uff StrengthS... two of them. Join!!!
